LoadingLoadingLoadingLoadingAfrican Future University’s public sites are English and French first. This paper measures what that choice costs Lusophone applicants. We ran an admissions information trial with Portuguese summaries for programmes, fees and academic regulations. Application completion from Luanda and Maputo rose when the apply journey and the assessment glossary were available in Portuguese, even when teaching remained in English or French. The bottleneck was not ambition. It was the first hour of the website. AFU should treat Portuguese as an access language for admissions and student support, then be honest about the language of assessment. A continental university that ignores Lusophone Africa is not continental.
