Humanitarian logistics fails in the last fifty kilometres: a warehouse that cannot count, a transporter who will not take the feeder road, a customs hold that nobody owns. This programme starts there. You will design a pipeline, cost a delay, and write a situation note a country office can act on—without this university claiming you work for the United Nations. African Future University treats African responders, national NGOs, and local government as the centre of gravity, not as implementing partners in someone else’s organogram. Digital tracking is taught as systems that fail when connectivity drops. Access negotiation is studied as administration and risk, not as military command. The award is academic. It is not UN employment, not a Red Cross contract, and not a licence to enter a conflict zone. It is for operations staff who must keep a pipeline honest when the bridge is out. You will compare a national-NGO warehouse with a government pre-positioned stock, including diversion risks both face. Identity-checked exams test waybills and situation notes. No UN emblem is used as a mark of university affiliation. MSc Humanitarian Operations and Logistics is taught as one award, not a list of unrelated modules. The published length is 18 months, and the credit total is 36. Students move from Needs, Allocations, and Pipeline Maths through Needs, Allocations, and Pipeline Maths; Customs, Ports, and Humanitarian Exemptions as Paper; Seasonality and Pre-Positioning; Warehouse Practice without Theatre; Transporters, Feeder Roads, and Security Constraints; Cold Chain as Operations (Not Clinical Practice), and finish on Writing Situation Notes. Each course has a question, a method, and a submission. In this field, students find where time or cost is lost and recommend one operational change. Reading is a process map, a capacity note, and a disruption case. The artefact a marker expects is a recommendation for one lane, site, or service with the cost and the risk. The award is built so that a graduate can do the following in practice: Design a pipeline that survives a broken bridge Run a warehouse count that matches the waybill Write bilingual access and delay notes Teaching assumes the student can read a source, attempt a problem before the seminar, and revise after feedback. Attendance at live seminars is part of the design. The capstone or final course must use the methods of the earlier courses; a project that ignores them does not pass. The pages for each course name the topics that are examined. Those topics are the syllabus. A brochure line is not a substitute for them.
Thirty-six credits: pipeline design, warehousing and last-mile, access and partners, and an operations capstone. Identity-checked exams. No UN emblem is used as affiliation.

Modules are assessed through a published mix of coursework, applied projects, and examinations. Exam windows are announced in advance so students in other time zones are not forced into overnight sittings. Alternative arrangements are available where documented.
