Loadinge-filing, TIN integrity, and IFMIS—without a CPA.
Online only

Digital public finance fails when the e-filing portal is down, the TIN is duplicated, and a small trader is told to return with a document that only exists in the capital. This programme starts there. You will map a taxpayer journey, interrogate an IFMIS extract, and write a note a director of revenue can act on—without this university awarding a practising certificate. African Future University centres African revenue and treasury practice: informal sectors, customs–tax interfaces, and donor-funded systems that ignore the government calendar. AfCFTA appears as VAT and origin paperwork firms actually face, not as a secretariat secondment. The award is academic. It is not CPA, not ACCA, and not a licence to sign audits. It is for officers who must keep a digital tax process honest when the generator dies on filing day. You will compare a capital e-filing journey with a rural trader told to return with a document that only exists in town. Identity-checked exams test process maps and IFMIS reading. CPA and ACCA remain separate professional routes this MSc does not replace. Study is tuition-free online aside from the examination fee.
Thirty-six credits: tax administration operations, digital PFM, integrity and exemptions, and a process capstone. Identity-checked exams. No professional accountancy licence is awarded.
