Online only

Community health programmes fail in supervision, commodities, and data that everyone knows is invented by Friday. This degree starts there. You will map a CHW catchment, cost a refill loop, and design a maternal-newborn referral pathway as a management problem—ambulances, radio, and who pays for fuel—not as a clinical protocol you are not qualified to write. African Future University places rural and peri-urban systems at the centre because urban teaching-hospital cases hide the actual constraint set. You will treat traditional authorities, women’s groups, and faith clinics as governance facts, not as colourful stakeholders. Bilingual reporting (EN/FR) is assessed because a donor English logframe that the district files in French is how programmes go blind. The award is academic. It is not NMC, not a public-health officer gazette, not a WHO consultancy. It is for managers who must keep a programme honest when the generator dies. You will compare a peri-urban catchment with a long-distance rural one, including volunteer attrition after harvest. Identity-checked exams and operational memos replace clinical skills labs this university does not run and must not advertise. Study is tuition-free online aside from the examination fee.
Thirty-six credits: community systems, commodities and data, governance and finance, and a district-level capstone. Identity-checked exams plus operational memos. No clinical skills labs are claimed.

Modules are assessed through a published mix of coursework, applied projects, and examinations. Exam windows are announced in advance so students in other time zones are not forced into overnight sittings. Alternative arrangements are available where documented.
The published duration is 18 months. Teaching language: English + French assessment options. Actual time-to-complete depends on mode and any recognised prior learning.
This is a fully online award. You study from your country. No student visa and no campus relocation are required.
Degree tuition for this award is published as £0 / tuition-free on the online pathway. Examination or administrative fees may apply at checkout — never an annual tuition invoice. Check the Fees page for any extras.
Requirements are grouped on this page (academic, English, documents). Equivalent qualifications are considered. English may be waived after prior English-medium study.
Assessment is typically a mix of coursework, projects, and examinations. Doctoral awards include a thesis or dissertation and an oral examination. Details sit in the programme specification and module outlines.
Recognition of the award for local employment, professional licence, or ministry attestation is decided by your employer or regulator. African Future University publishes verification pages for certificates. We do not claim automatic equivalence in every country.
