LoadingPrice risk, storage, and off-takers under climate shock—not a farm licence.
Online only

Agribusiness fails in the weeks after harvest: moisture, theft, side-selling, and a buyer who disappears when the world price moves. Climate shock makes those weeks shorter. This programme starts there. You will cost a warehouse, design a simple contract a smallholder can understand, and write a drought-contingency note a district cooperative can fund. African Future University centres rural enterprises because capital-city ESG slides hide the actual constraint set. You will treat traditional authorities, women’s groups, and informal traders as governance facts. English and French reporting is assessed because a donor logframe in one language and a co-op minute in another is how programmes go blind. The award is academic. It is not a statutory agronomist licence, not a UN consultancy, and not an engineering stamp. It is for managers who must keep grain and cash honest when the feeder road is mud. You will compare a grain-surplus season with a drought year using the same co-op’s books, including women’s unpaid labour as a cost that donor logframes often hide. Identity-checked exams and a seasonal capstone replace laboratory breeding this university does not run.
Thirty-six credits: production risk as management data, post-harvest and contracts, finance and markets, and a seasonal capstone. Identity-checked exams. No laboratory breeding facility is claimed.

Modules are assessed through a published mix of coursework, applied projects, and examinations. Exam windows are announced in advance so students in other time zones are not forced into overnight sittings. Alternative arrangements are available where documented.
The published duration is 18 months. Teaching language: English + French assessment options. Actual time-to-complete depends on mode and any recognised prior learning.
This is a fully online award. You study from your country. No student visa and no campus relocation are required.
Degree tuition for this award is published as £0 / tuition-free on the online pathway. Examination or administrative fees may apply at checkout — never an annual tuition invoice. Check the Fees page for any extras.
Requirements are grouped on this page (academic, English, documents). Equivalent qualifications are considered. English may be waived after prior English-medium study.
Assessment is typically a mix of coursework, projects, and examinations. Doctoral awards include a thesis or dissertation and an oral examination. Details sit in the programme specification and module outlines.
Recognition of the award for local employment, professional licence, or ministry attestation is decided by your employer or regulator. African Future University publishes verification pages for certificates. We do not claim automatic equivalence in every country.
