Stellenbosch & AFU Inaugurate Executive MBA in Pan-African Trade to Accelerate AfCFTA Implementation

As cross-border commerce expands under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), African Future University and Stellenbosch Business School have launched the Executive MBA in Pan-African Trade & AfCFTA Innovation.

Conferring two executive master's diplomas recognized across all 55 AU states, the program is built specifically for directors, export managers, and commercial banking executives navigating tariffs, non-tariff trade barriers, and digital corridor logistics.

Key program modules include: - Rules of Origin & Tariff Schedule Harmonization - Cross-Border Trade Finance & Digital Settlement Mechanisms (PAPSS) - Multi-Modal Transport Corridors and Inland Dry Port Logistics - Sovereign Risk Management & Enterprise Strategy

"Africa's trade potential cannot be realized solely by trade treaties signed in capital cities; it requires thousands of managers skilled in customs technology, supply chain analytics, and multi-currency clearing," remarked the Dean of Business. Students participate in simulated trade dispute resolution and capstone strategy projects directly sponsored by continental logistics firms and export-import banks.
